Black Friday Shopping At Wal Mart

Most of my life I've had to work that day - not retail, just a regular job.

One year I was off and decided to go out that day. I waited until late morning thinking the crowds would already be gone. I wanted to go to a store that was in the same area as the mall.

Hit the traffic miles away from the mall. Complete stop, only inching along. I was stuck and couldn't get out of it. When I was only a few blocks away from the store I hear tires squealing behind me, then crash - looked in my mirror just in time to see a van flying through the air towards me. It landed on the side of the road one car behind me.

I turned off the highway at the first chance and went back home. (less than a block from the store I wanted to go to)

The people were crazy and I didn't even make it to the store parking lot. Yikes. Never again.

As much as I want to go just to see how horrible all the crowds are and to see what a stampede is like, my grandpa is coming to visit that day, so I have to stay home and help clean everything.

After reading some of the stories in this thread, especially the one above my post, I would definitely agree with you.

wide, for a 55" tv and a eliptical. Keeping fingers crossed I will see a good sale. I have never done Black Friday shopping. My hubby went out last year and surprised me with a kitchen aid mixer on Christmas morning.

My sister is a sale junky, so if I need something that is on sale on black friday I give her the money and a little tip. I stay home and sleep.

I am a black Friday slacker. That and I have minions.

I know EXACTLY what I am getting. I stand in line, the minions fetch items.

I'd say it's cheating, but seeing as I learned it at the stores on black Friday, I consider it fair.
