Well, just got my first Kiowa egg today! So teeny tiny and adorable....I guess Mona's success motived my girl to action.

Here's a less than fabulous photo of my black laced red cockerel. He's really hard to photograph. I was really hoping for some black laced red pullets this year but only had 2 black hatch out of about 50 chicks. Both were cockerels. This is my favorite.

The mental picture I get from that is hilarious!

Alex lays funny looking white eggs with bulges that wrap around the middle, and one of my EEs lays a funky blue egg with "barnacles," that I think are otherwise known as calcium deposits.
