If I wanted to start with something closer I have this pullet with some dark red in her hackles.

For a male I'm not sure.
Maybe something that already has some color.
This one has a single gene for barring so I'd have to throw out about half the chicks that inherited that.

In the Parrot game that will be called a Red Factor black mottled male.

Just to give you an idea as to how crazy it is

those Parrots retail normally for $1,200.... when you have a red Factor that goes up three or four fold.. Mainlyy because of the genetic potential of creating another one like that... you get enough of that in the gene pool within a pair and you'll bound to get something like this...

Yeah this guy is a little bit on the high side I've seen these birds in person...babies going from 6 to 8 grand each.
Would be nice if we could do that with chickens huh? The prices?
