I normally pick breeds based on cold hardiness, so leghorn combs have not appealed to me. Now that I have discovered what a beautiful red they can be, I'm sold. My children have also caught chicken fever and are designing their own breeds. The hardest thing will be breeding for a teal beak for the 5yo
