Black Sex-Link Picture Thread!

My black sex-link hen Shadow. She looks super cute in this picture, and if you see closely she is getting her brownish-gold feathers in. Also, she is 7 months old on the 5th.

These are some Black sexlinks that I picked up at the local feed store and they are so different in looks. I'm just wondering if they're both sexlinks of if one is something else. My neighbor seems to think that chick 1 is an easter egger that got mixed in with the batch.

This is my little Bonnet. She is an eggcellent layer.

I would have thought that was a rooster.

Hi All. I'm new to this thread, but I have a question. I have 6-week old black sex-links (they are in the cage because I am trying to integrate them into the existing flock, but one looks very different than the others. Could I have received an accidental cockerel due to cross-breeding? Or do you think they are just developing at different rates? Excuse the poor photos, they were the best I could get this morning.

Here's one of mine, I'll have to take a picture of the other one ... I think this one is broody already and she is only 16 weeks old !!! yikes

I've got one that looks like the one in the front. Is this a rooster? Please tell me it's not. It's the ONLY BSL I have and I had read some where the males will have a white spot on top of their head and the females wont. So all this time I was like yeah she's a she. It's looks just like this one though!!

ALRIGHT!!!! Mine looks like this so it IS a she!!!! I was so worried today when I noticed those waddles wattles how ever you spell that. lol and that big comb! YEAH shooooo I was starting to sweat since she is the ONLY one I have of the BSL. Mine is so gently and easy going to and I really like her!

I thought black sex links have black feet and totally black in color for the bird? I have one and that's how it is. Or I might have misunderstood when he told me black australorps and sex links. ???

OK NOW she is starting to show some of the brown around her neck and getting pretty to I might add. I have one BSL and 22 BA's.

Silly question, but we have black sex link eggs incubating and... what are the crosses to make a Black Sexlink??
