I have two black sex links that are about 15 weeks old. My rooster keeps grabbing their necks and holding on to them. Is this any indication that they might be getting ready to lay an egg? Or is my roo just being mean??

My old rooster used to do that and I thought the same thing before I went in one day and the others had bloody necks. I guess mine was just worse though.
