I'd be interested to know how far north people are able to keep BSF cultures going? I'd love to try growing them, but I'm in zone 4. I'm wondering if it would be feasible to grow them in a green house (not heated 8 x 8), let the last batch of larvae crawl into the soil, mulch it deeply and try to winter them over. ANY INPUT ? I'd love to hear from readers who are successful growing them, and what is your method. How many birds in your flock, what is your BSF production, how often do you need to add more "feed" to their bucket?

I'm looking for the same kinds of info. Any luck so far? I'm in zone 5 or so. Not sure what I'm going to try first.
