Black specs (not red blood spots) on yolk

This is what the yolk looks like with a shell that has a grey ting to it
Hmm not sure....only thought is 'dead' blood turns dark.
What do you mean the shell has a grey tinge?
Do you know what duck this egg is coming from?

An egg is an egg. I thought you might know?
Right, but thought ducks might be exposed to different habit and diseases.

I'm thinking like you mentioned it's blood spots that turned black. I can't see dirt transferring into a Duck egg. Isn't the digestive and egg machine two different set ups?

I have cayuga ducks and some of the eggs do have the black dot as well, I just though that because they lay black eggs that it was the norm to have black instead of red dots in the yolk.

What is a meat spot ?
Blood spots are from a blood vessel breaking when ova is released from follicle.
Meat spots are from a tiny piece of tissue breaking loose from the reproductive tract.

I think it's explained in this excellent video, which is worth watching regardless, tho it's about chickens not ducks I assume the egg process is the same:
