black + splash = white

The only explanation I can think of is that the dad is actually blue. I have heard the only sure fire way to be sure of the color is to breed them and see what color the offspring is. The first chick in your original post was certainly not white. I saw some black feathers so it's definitely not white. I have a splash that has only a few black feathers and almost looks white. I'm going take some pictures of her.
