Black spots on comb

Again, it's (dry) fowl pox, which are common in southern climates, due to mosquitoes. Normally they will run their course without any major complications, in healthy birds, and then the birds are immune for life.

It can normal in large combed chickens for the comb to become bluish on the tips or the back of the comb. It should brighten at other times, or there could be a heart problem or circulation problem, such as in cold weather.

Ehh....may be 'normal' ....but in large (single) combed birds...and is usually due to circulation problems or cold weather. So doesn't fit this situation.

Best to be careful in understanding a situation before passing on info....
....it does create confusion at the least and misinformation at the worst.

What aart said - read OP's input so that responses don't lead towards confusion. Not much frost in 'Bama', and lesions are pretty typical of pox.
