Black spots on comb??

Why are there small black spots on one of my chicken's comb??

I will try tomorrow, they are all asleep right now, and don't want the rooster to start crowing.

I reserve the right to change my mind when I see the picture, but here's my guess, sight unseen:

I'm guessing one of the other chickens pecked at his comb, and the black spots are the scabs.
