They are supposed to be Bev Davis. I contacted Bev in August and she said she was not selling any hatching eggs at this time but gave me the name of a lady near Austin that was hatching her eggs. I contacted her and she said she was moving and a friend of hers was hatching the eggs for her and the stock I was getting was pure Bev Davis. So far I'm not very impressed. I really don't want to name names (at least not yet, until I talk to them about it first.) this is my first bunch of FBCM from day old chicks and I wanted to grow them out some to see how they looked.Which breeder did you buy them from?
Thanks, I'd like to see those. As soon as I get some incubator space after New Years, I'm going to get some FBCM eggs from a breeder in East Texas. The Marans I got rid of to make room for these alleged Bev Davis chicks were much better than any of those. Good luck with your hatch.I have some 5 week old BCM roos (spike and twizzler). they look like the pics of your last one there but mine have
feathered leg, and their legs are darker.
I also have some Black Tail Buff Marans eggs in the incubator right now from a local breeder, so I can send you a pic
of what they look like when they come out. They went into lockdown today![]()
