Regarding a lot of the conversation going early on in this thread, I believe it is actually possible for a gene or part of gene to be translocated to a different chromosome if an error in DNA replication takes place. This is very rare and often lethal so it is not likely. However if I am recalling my genetics class correctly it is indeed possible. I'll consult my notes soon and let you know more about it.

My incubator is set up, just need to sanitize, & stabilize it next. If I don't get a broody in a few more days, I'll incubate.

A friend wants a chick, or two from me so there'll be a couple random eggs in the incubator too. Either from a bantam, or JungleFowl. May do both.

The top picture is Dino, he's my project Wheaten Crele Orpington from my old 2018 project, that's currently discontinued.

The boy on the bottom is Pumpkin Boy, who I'm trying to rehome. I have no idea what he is.
