Hello, I have the option to get black walnut shavings from a wood shop. I would like to use them in the run. I already have been using wood chips in the run. But not Black Walnut. I find different opinions in the internet. If you have experience with black walnut I would love to hear about it. Thanks 🙋‍♀️

Here's an old thread but I think it answers your questions about black walnut. I have lots of those trees around and I've chipped up some branches from them and included them with other things in the deep litter with no problems. Any hard wood like walnut or oak or maple or softer wood like pine would usually be ok in my opinion but never use cedar.
