That's what I thought. So unless both the male and the female carried the lav gene, and those two chicks just happened to both be of the 25% lav chicks, than they're not Self blue. They sure do look like it though! They're very light in color and don't have any distinct blue lacing like a normal blue would have. They even have the gypsy face color like a self blue modern is supposed to have (and the parents both have red faces). I'm just going to call them freaks
genetically blue, but freaks. Maybe their second molt will prove a truer shade of blue. Thanks everyone!
