Blackie disappeared, then reappeared!

So when I went to put all the chickers in the run for the afternoon, I couldn't find Blackie! I looked EVERYWHERE! Even in the most unlikely places(woods, garage, etc). But no sign of her. She hadn't laid yet so maybe that had something to do with it. But when all the girls were getting ready to go inside the coop for the night, there she was! Does anybody have any explanation for this sudden disappearence and has it happened to anyone before? If any chicken is in HER nest box, Blackie gets mad and tries to find a hidden place to lay.

No clue why she vanished but glad she came back. She may have a secret nest.

With my free rangers, they're often creating new nests that may take me a little while to find.

And I've had some to go "missing" for days, and turns out they've gone broody somewhere.

Just a couple weeks ago, I had to get a broody girl from out of my building. She was on the top shelf on a bunch of eggs!
