Shimmer lifted her face up to his and gave him a snoot boop. "Now love, how about we collect some water for Scarlet's hatchlings?" She asked playfully, grabbing a turtle shell in her mouth and wading into the water. She carefully filled it up, brought it back onto the beach and.....splashed the water all over Spyder! "Haha gotcha!" She cheered, spinning in circles and laughing so hard that tears gathered in the corners of her eyes.
Spyder agreed and turned to help... But all he got was a face full of water! " Your gonna regret that!" He said playfully, pressing his wings together, reaching back and then swooping them forward, sending a massive splash all over shimmer." Hah gotcha back!!" He said, still dripping with water from his forward facing horn

"Oof!" Shimmer exclaimed as she got hit by the huge wave of and fell backwards into the lake. Stumbling up out of the water, she gave Spyder a ridiculously fake glare, only able to keep a straight face for a few seconds before bursting out laughing again. "Oh, I'm the one who's gonna regret that?" she grinned, extending one wing and putting it halfway in the water. She spun around in a circle, splashing water in every direction.

Spyder came up sputtering, not able to keep a straight face. Lifting into the air and flying in a circle around her, spyder shot flame from his mouth straight into the water, creating a wall of steam. He crept up behind her and tackled her playfully. " You never saw it coming did ya?!" He laughed

Shimmer squinted her eyes, trying to see through the steam. "Ah-hahaha!" She squealed when Spyder tackled her. "Very funny, silly!" She kissed him on the nose. "How about we collect the water now, for real this time?" She chuckled.

Spyder smiled, his chest glowing slightly as the fire inside him grew brighter then ever along with his joy. " Good idea, don't won't to be caught goofing off now so we?!" He said with a smile, dipping the Shell under the surface

"No, I don't think we do," she winked at him, wading her way over to the second shell that sat right at the water's edge and picked it up. Shimmer swished her claws around in the lake, sending any leaves or debris in the water a few feet away and scooping up some water in the shell. She turned to Spyder with the shell in her mouth and managed to say, "Ready?"

Spyder picked the Shell he had up in his claws," ready," he said with a smile. His bat like fur was still soaked and his horns dripped with liquid, but that couldn't keep him from being happy.

"It's about a mile south from here. Wait, hold on a second...." Angel went silent, and her tail twitched slightly. "I hear something." Sure enough, a doe and two fawns emerged from the thick vegetation, grazing in a small patch of grass. Axel went to lunge forward at them, but Angel quickly stopped him, placing a single wing in front of him. "It's not worth it," she whispered. "How come?" Axel questioned. "You see, that doe has two fawns, who depend on the doe to keep them fed and safe. If you kill the doe, you're technically killing all three of them, because the fawns can't survive on their own. It wouldn't be worth it, because those fawns will grow up and have more fawns, and those fawns will grow up and have more fawns, it goes on and on. You kill the fawns, you decrease the number of fawns born in the next generations exponentially. Besides, they don't have much meat on them anyway," Angel explained. Axel pondered this idea. "Now that I think about it, that kinda does make sense." His stomach growled. Angel gave Axel and Max a sideways glance. "C'mon, let's go to the place with the rabbits." She led them deeper into the woods.
Ohhh!!! Look at that big fat rabbit! Can I pounce on it?! Pleeeaaaasssee??!!
