Blind duck, I think!!!

Awwwe how cute!

And oh no! Has he ever responded in any way to you speaking to him? Moves his head in your direction, or stops to listen? Have the other ducklings made any move to physically touch him - nudge, bill-nibble, and so on?

If you say hello to him he will quack back at me but then he won't stop, he has nibbled there feet but I think that's because it's how he finds things.

Quick question, I don't think these ducklings have been fed much. They haven't stopped eating since I brought them home. They have massive bulges on there necks where I assume the crop is. I have taken the food of them for now. My question is do I wait till tomorrow now to feed them again? They have access to water 24/7 I didn't know ducks could over eat.

Poor things . Probably didn’t have food and water 24/7 which they need till 5-6 weeks old.i don’t think I’d keep the food away till morning just let them eat what they can say in 10-15 min till bed time then see if they have calmed down on pigging out going all night without food may just keep them gorging

Okay will go and put the food back out now and see what happens. I could put food in with them tonight but maybe a limited amount? Would that be OK do you think? I've never had a duck or duckling do this so its a whole new experience for me

I've never had a duckling do this since mine mostly are with their moms. They get food even with mom 24/7. So I asked @casportpony to take a look.

Can you get a pi of these lil ones and what their chest looks like?
Just not sure if they should have food restricted when so young.

Any changes in your blind duckling and these new babies?

How to test vision: hold out some delectable treat for him and see if he tracks your hand if you move it around! You can hold him in one hand/under one arm and then try this on both sides of his head because it's possible s/he can only see out of one eye. Can you buy a sibling for him from another farm or feed store or anything?
