Blind Silkie

I have just discovered that one of my silkies is blind,she is about 10 weeks old.I don`t want to cull her.Has anyone had one tht hatched out chicks and how was she at taking care of them? I did have a blind one two years ago but gave her away.What are the chances of her offspring being blind? NEVER MIND,CUT THE FEATHERS AROUND HER EYES AND SHE CAN SEEN NOW/

Hi, my little silkie girl I also thought was blind, but realized she has trouble seeing due to feathers also.
I am nervous to try and trim until I can get some advice on trimming.
Can you share on how you did it?

I have all silkies in my flock and trim their feathers once a month around their eyes or they CANT see!! They seem really happy after I trim them!

My husband held her and her head ,I just cut around the top and sides around her eyes.I didn't cut in close to the skin just enough so she could see
