Good to hear he made it home safely!

I live in southwestern MN and its been coming down hardcore since this morning. I shoveled the driveway twice and finally gave up for the night. I may just have to take the blower out in the morning. Right now its 18 degrees with a -8 windchill. We're still waiting for the worst of the storm to hit. Winds are only 16 mph right now but supposed to pick up too. They say to expect 8-10" by midnight and more snow until noon tomorrow.

I made sure all the critters were set for a couple days if need be. I live in town and our farm is just outside town. I'm sure the main highway will be closed off so won't get out there unless on the snowmobile. Its kind of a helpless feeling. I made sure all the feeders were full and dumped a pail of cracked corn in each pen just in case too. 10 heated pet bowls, 2 heated buckets, and the horse's stock tank are cleaned and filled to tops. Got about a foot of bedding down and all the barn doors closed. Tomorrow I'll have to wade my way down the driveway and climb on the tractor to clear the place out.

Luckily I had the last 2 days off to prepare. I am supposed to head into work by 4 pm tomorrow. Pfffftttt the casino I work at is 30 miles away. If the roads are clear, I might make it in. On friday we are supposed to be heading to Des Moines for the IA State pigeon show. This could be interesting too.

I'm going to veg on the couch and watch the National Finals Rodeo! I'm praying to power doesn't go out as well. I have 15 dozen silkie eggs in the incubator.

I was not looking forward to driving a bus in a blizzard, been there done that

The blizzard warning is now in our area of Michigan... We have no school today, and I doubt we'll have it tomorrow. Looks like I'll be baking some Gump bread and catching up on my housework.
