I think the big storm is passing through Nebraska on its way to Iowa now

So far its not been toooo bad for us, the wind hasn't picked up as we were promised. We have been in the NEGATIVE as far as wind chill goes, but only to around -10 today. (later its supposed to get to -15)

I'm really happy we didn't get the wind, visability is pretty bad as it is!

My hubby is on the fire and rescue team, hasn't been called today but was called out last night when a car couldn't stop and went right over the road and smashed into a pole. The people were ok, but there was a bit of black ice and they had to call the roads dept.

Chickens and animals are ok, they haven't been out much today at all, I went to check on them about 20 minutes ago and their stupid waterer had been unplugged

THey do have access to the horses water but have to go just outside the barn door, I think they were doing that this morning. They got some treats and are ok!

Took me 1hr and 20 min to make my 40 minute drive home. Glad I left work early!

I have only seen snow a few times and it was beautiful! Those pictures are great!!!!! It was 79 here today

Dh keeps saying we are going to go North for Christmas one year for the snow. We did get to spend Thanksgiving in Mass. 4 yrs ago and it snowed big time while we were there. Unfortunately we were there for Dh's moms funeral so we weren't able to enjoy it as much as we would have liked.....
