Blob layed in nest D:

Hello!

So long story short, I went to lock my Chooks up this evening I noticed this

blob in their nest box, i'm a bit nervous, because I've heard horror stories regarding "lash" eggs, I'm hoping it's just a soft shelled egg instead.
I didn't touch it at all so don't worry about that.

I have four "Girls" (one of them is a faux rooster but still biologically female) and they are 3 and 4 years old, they don't get sick often but if they do I always take them to the vet, My chooks have a huge backyard to roam around in and I love them, They are my pets mainly but love the eggs too, That being said, I personally wouldn't be upset if they stopped laying as their companionship is enough for me.

I hope all is well, I'd love to hear you guys' opinion thanks.

Dont worry, I know someone who has had a hen who made like 5 lash eggs and is still very healthy.
Do you know who layed it?
It is best to take her to the vet I would not wait...
Was anyone acting off prior to that or after that?

One of my hens has/had salpingitis (the technical name for passing lash material). I documented what I did to treat it.

I won't lie, from what I've read, salpingitis is eventually fatal. But my hen, Pip, is still here, besting the 6 month average.

That is really good, i will definitely take her tomorrow morning, its night here so i can't now, i really hope they can do something, i love my sweet chookies

Sorry late reply but no i don't believe anyone was acting different to my knowledge

Oh ok, then maybe it was a "mistake" egg... You should still take her, to make sure everything is OK.
