Blood blister on chick vent

I checked on our chicks this morning for any pasting up and I noticed one of them has a huge blood blister on her opening! I cleaned her in warm water and a little blood got on the cloth I dried her with after but what is the huge blood blister?! What would cause that? How do I treat it and should she be separated from the other chicks. They are around two weeks old.

Yes, when I tried to clean it in warm water, the rag got blood streaks on it.

If there is a bird vet or farm vet, I would take it to them. I don’t know what you should do, but there are some people who have treated birds with prolapse before. I would ask around/ look up threads that mentioned it.

Yes. You can give the chick an Epsom salt bath and see if you can stuff it back in. Calcium is good for healing, also. If the tissue is still seen apply some cream, like inflammatory cream.
