Blood in intestines

3 year old rh red was acting ok yesterday morning, got lethargic later in the day, then this morning wouldn't eat and hung out in the corner. By 11:30 am she was dead. Post mortem showed crop full of normal food and vegetation but lower intestines were swollen and full of blood! Never seen that before. No bloody poo that I could see but she was hanging out under the hen house and I didn't crawl under it to look.
Any ideas? I should have taken a pic of intestines but I forgot.

It sounds like she could have had internal bleeding in her intestines or Coccidiosis eating away her stomach walls. Did she show any symptoms prior to death? Like diarrhea, bloody poops, pale comb or waddles, lethargy, puffiness and/or droopy wings?
