New to chickens, could use some advice!

In Brooder #1 we have six chicks that are all 3 & 4 weeks old.

In Brooder #2 we have two Gold Laced Wyandottes that are 6 weeks old. (They have been separated from the other 6 for about 2 weeks now because of their size…one of them began pecking at the youngest 2 chicks when they were added to the brooder.) Anyway, yesterday we found some scattered, small traces of blood in their shavings and on their roosting stick. No blood in any poop, no visible injuries we can see, behavior seems normal. Is this likely a minor injury that is no longer bleeding? Should we be concerned about coccidiosis or something else?

As a side question, what are the white flecks we often see on their feathers…just dander or a sign of some pest?

Thanks in advance for any wisdom you can share!

Coccidiosis is more likely to involve blood in the poop, not just random traces... have you checked their rears and made sure there isn't signs of pecking around there, and the bottoms of their feet in case one got a splinter somewhere?
