Thank you! So much to keep track of. Lol. I will order it tonight. I hope they will be okay... thank you! There are 9 types of cocci that chickens can get. Corid is ineffective in treating E. Acervulina and E. Maxima which your chicks may have in conjunction with other types of cocci.
I recommend that you continue with the corid. In the meantime order a sulfa drug which has antibacterial action against the two types of cocci that I mentioned above in order to treat your chicks.
Here's a link where you can buy the sulfa drug along with directions for use on the container:

No need to switch to non-medicated.Okay we will start another round when I get home! And we switch to non-medicated food then again, correct? While on it? I haven’t thought to weight her since she has been consistently growing quickly since we got her. She was really one of the ones thriving the most until she slowed down a bit yesterday afternoon.

I asked about her weight because I was going to suggest that in addition to her medicated water that you give her one drop (0.02 ml) per 100 grams of body weight. If you like stuff in pounds, that's 0.1 ml per pound. I would give this once or twice a day for 1-3 days.
She’s taking enrofloxacin, baytril! And eye drops.Yes, Corid can be given with all antibiotics. What antibiotic is your Silkie on?
Okay, I asked in case you were giving Albon or SMZ/TMP because both of those are sulfa drugs and could be used to treat coccidiosis too. How is the Silkie responding to the Baytril? She’s taking enrofloxacin, baytril! And eye drops.
True - I used to say cocci, but one day a vet schooled me, lol.Um, can I just say, the word is coccidia, not cocci. Cocci is a bacteria, coccidia is a parasite. I know it may seem like semantics, but one is very different from the other.
Sorry I’m new to this! ThanksUm, can I just say, the word is coccidia, not cocci. Cocci is a bacteria, coccidia is a parasite. I know it may seem like semantics, but one is very different from the other.
She absolutely hates having it done, but it’s definitely helping her. I thought she may pass that evening and the next morning she was back to 75%. We have four more days left of treatment.Okay, I asked in case you were giving Albon or SMZ/TMP because both of those are sulfa drugs and could be used to treat coccidiosis too.
