I went to let the hens out this morning, all came out to eat but when I checked in the coop I found blood on the side’s of one of the nesting boxes. It was streaked across all 3 sides. No blood on the bedding or bottom of the box and just small amount on 2 of the eggs. all seem to be acting normal, the only one I could find blood on was one of the white hens who had some on her chest and beak, but again, a small amount.
6 of them just started laying a few weeks ago, not sure if that has any significance.
I’ve had chickens for a little less than a year and never had blood in the coop before, so I not sure what to do, and I’m trying not to panic! Maybe one just got a cut and I’m making a big deal out of nothing but it made me nervous that it was in the nesting box. I blocked that one off and am going to check again to see if any more ends up in the others boxes. Is there anything else I should do or look out for?

Just went out again, no blood on her beak anymore but it does look like there’s a little more fresh blood under her chest. No coughing and she seems to be acting pretty normal. She was trying to peck at my phone so the pictures aren’t the best. I’ll try and get someone else to come out and help me look at her again. When I picked her up the first time to check I couldn’t see anything but maybe I missed something

There might have been a disagreement about who was wanting the nest box at one point. Sometimes I will see blood spatter on my roosts or even on a feeder, but cannot locate the victim. A picked blood feather or a pecked comb is the usual problem, and it is difficult to find where it came from, sometimes. When they go in to roost this evening, take a flashlight and just check vents and overall for any more bleeding.
