Blood on roosting bar

I saw blood on the roosting pole this morning. Not blood in the poop. Just blood. I had to go to work so I didn't do a really good looking, but from a quick look I didn't see any injuries or blood on any of the chickens. The spot where I found the blood is where my white girls sleep so I think I would have noticed blood on them. I do have a Rooster and one girl who has just started laying this week. Can the Rooster be the problem? Do hens bleed from their first couple eggs? I will check them more when I get home. I separated the rooster for the day in case. I have 9 hens total. Thanks

No injuries, no worries.
I've seen it before and it never resulted in a problem.

It's possible she could have broken a nail, I've had this happen to my hens a few times, the injury will bleed quite a bit, but will be very hard to notice later on.
