Hope the van will be ok as you say up the creek if not!! Vehicles breaking down is a real pain. Makes me feel trapped, not sure what I did before I passed my test. Can't imagine not being able to drive now. Hope they get it fixed up soon so you can have yours back.

In the 90's that's way hot again for you!! Glad that spell of weather has gone from us, just could not cope with it all. Then again it was just a one off. That was probably our summer and the only real warm weather we will get. Not bad today weather wise, quite sunny, not too hot and not too cold.

Have had Charlie off school today Think he may have tonsillitis. Swollen throat and hard to talk and the like. Been asleep most of the day in bed and not been playing on the play station so he must be ill. That's my indicator with him!! He started his treatment for braces yesterday too and said he had a sore throat but took it with a pinch of salt as I thought he didn't want the separator bands putting in. Feel a bit guilty now.

hmm. My boy has sore throat as well. started yesterday. His is a headache. when ever he says his head hurts he is fevered.. I seen where we were replying at the same time and the same diagnosis. hahaa. I like being over there but not much i know about and I dont want to give bad advise so i skip a lot of them. speaking of, I answered one that looks like airsacculitis but owner says no. maybe you can take a look?

I see the OP got some other replies and you were right granny on the leaking air sacs. I'm more than sure your advice would not be bad at all. Don't worry just jump right in!!

Charlie is still He's got a rash now but I'm not sure if its just heat rash that's what it looks like anyway. He's still in bed and says he feels dizzy when he stands up. No headache or anything like that he says but I don't like it when he's sick.

lucky guess. does he have high fever ? heat rash may be from strep. strep CAN turn into scarlet fever but you would see high temps.

Not a really high but I've been making him take paracetamol regular to keep it down. I will keep a close eye on him though, last week of school too before the 7 week holidays. Not a great way to start them. Have been on google with his symptoms and I really should not have done as this then puts my mind into overdrive

I think we all do that, I can stub my toe and when i am done looking i have cancer. Just take a good look at his throat . Is there any white bumps ? rule of thumb and youcan do the converting. If temp. is under 101 most likely viral and wont need antibiotic 102 and higher he may . its worth getting a throat swab for. Your paracetamol must be our tylanol .

Yes checked his throat no white manky stuff so im thinking viral too. I am an aficionado on Tonsilitis, had it loads and even got a quinsy abscess once and ended up in hospital a week with it on a drip. It's more the rash that's concerning me more now Temp not over 102 so I'm thinking it's not a fever. If he's not better in the morning going to take him to the docs and see what they say.

Charlie much better today and normal service has been resumed on the play station Still sounds as rough as an old dog and still got the rash which I'm now quiet convinced is some kind of heat rash. But tons better than yesterday.

One of the chicks in the shed has a bent beak I only noticed it today and it's not like the beak is crossed or scissored. The top and the bottom bend to the right as you look at straight on. It's eating and drinking ok and thriving so not a weakling or affecting it like that. Did not hatch like it. I've not had one before and Non of my breeder birds have it so I'm not sure on the cause. Also the white one has a nail missing too. Perfect toe just no nail
