blood ring or blind

Are you still a little warm there? It's not here at all. Was chucking it down with rain this morning then it's been very windy. Not summer weather at all. Birds dashed out this morning, something to eat and drink then back in until the rain stopped. Sun got out in the end but the wind has taken the warmth out of sun. Hope it picks up soon.

Have made the decision today to rehome the blue splash roo :hit Just too many blue chicks from him. I'm hoping to get a Tolbunt or crele one. I hope I can find him somewhere nice as he's very good. Friendly and easy to pick and handle.

Hope your lights are on ok today :lau

Oh no ! he is beautiful. its very hot here and humid as well. I dont know the temps but close to yesterdays. I havent been out because i dont have air in my van.

You have your van back then? But yes no fun with no air con!! When we had that heat wave I was trying to take the other halfs pick up all the time as he's has air con in it and my little van does not!! Down side to his though is that it uses way more fuel and the seats are leather so getting in was Hot Hot Hot on the backside!!

Did those near hatching time eggs hatch yet?

i have had the van back. she kept it for 2 nights because he kept getting the wrong part to fix theirs. I have to say, I am impressed he fixed it. I didnt think he even knew what a socket wrench was. I havent been out yet to check on the chickens or if i have any new hatches. I am getting quite lazy .. their coop and run is so muddy its pitiful. I havent went in to get the eggs . this is day 4. I will have to toss them all should be around 3 dozen. been feeding them outside and making matters worse by overflowing their water instead of going in and dumping it. I have shavings floor. wonder if peet moss would do anything ? its about $10 a bag but theres a lot in a bag. I just dont want to go any where in this heat. I will have to go out tomorrow. I have COPD by the way. breathing in this stuff is very hard for me. so is perfume, spray cleaners, ect..

Oh boy granny, get those grandkids round to do some jobs for you!! It's pants when you don't feel well but there are still things to do. Don't go out baking though I'm sure they will be fine. Not sure on the peat moss never tried it but you would think it would be better at absorbing the wet. I'm sure they would enjoy scratching through it all. Would certainly keep them occupied.

Not too bad on the van then just a couple of nights.

Got some pics of the 4 week olds and that funny beak one but this is the only one that will load right now. Charlie back to normal now so he's eating all the internet with that play Station!! ~

I'm hoping it's a pullet, my fingers are crossed, cos I want to keep it. Will try some more pics in bit.

yes, I need to get him back. tomorrow maybe. How the devil did you get a gold lace with a white head ? SHE is beautiful. every time i look at your chickens i am very tempted to rehome my whole flock. LOL I have been thinking for a few yrs. to only have one breed and i have tried my best to have one of everything . As of right now, If i did choose that would be the way i leaned but never have i seen colors like yours around here.

Im glad Charlie is better. did the rash go away? Robert is good too. I think his sore throat was from snoring.

I am upset right now as a friends child has been injured . Its on my post granny gone and done it. I feel for her. It makes me cry.

Oh granny I have just read her post and that is very sad. I sure do hope it's not as bad as feared and that she can make a speedy recovery :fl

As for how I got a gold lace with all that white in I don't know :idunno I guess thats what you get when you breed mix different coloured parent birds. That chick came from an egg out of the silver lace roo and gold lace girl I think. Who knows but it's my fav along with another frizzle blue that I'm hoping is a girl too as I'd like to keep that also. It's the chick in the middle of the pic. At last it's uploaded a pic :yesss:
