Ooh granny the suspense is killing me!! What are they? Can't wait to see pics. Just a test batch, I also didn't want to put those really dirty ones in that they had been playing football. Those pesky little polish!! I've also got foam inserts in my metal dividers so that makes the bator look like it's not got enough eggs in too.

enola, did you get your to do list done? Did you set an incubator set up?

morning yorkshire. it is 5:20 am here. been up for hrs. LOL they are seramas ! 2 hens and a rooster. born halloween. they are so very tiny. one hen is black one is like a black calico and the roo is like a white calico. very pretty colors. I think thats why i woke up. its so cold out. I have them in a covered brooder except for the front and a 250 watt heat bulb but what if it blows ? what if its not enough? what if...... LOL

well, I cant tell.  advanced from last candle for sure and think i seen one move. one with tons of veining but i just cant tell.    this hasnt happened before. I can always tell.  the new bator i put them in is cooler then the other and if they are alive they are no where ready.  how disappointing.

Granny mine hatched 3 days late with temp at 99-100 @ 45-50 RH??

I thought they might be seramas with you saying they were tiny!! I'm sure they will be fine have you got them indoors? Could you maybe add heat pads or hot water bottles underneath them to heat them from below too? Good luck with them

Well, I got most of it done....... But, somewhere between post #327 and post #336, my life has taken another turn. #336 pretty much is the short story part of it.

I am going to have to sell a LOT of stuff. From SC to ND is a long way to drag the stuff I own........

I am new to hatching eggs have my bator full four more days will candle again tonight any help would be wonderful how long can I leave the chicks in after they hatch and when do I pull the vent plug it is forced air

I have a 250 watt heat bulb and a solid bottom , sides and top. I just have to worry. I want to candle so bad i cant stand it and its day 3. seems like forever
