blood ring or blind

50/50 chance of the babies being frizzle. The silver roo is frizzle. And two of the girls with the blue splash are frizzle. But I'm not sure if they are laying yet. The sneaky little madam I caught jumped over to the silver roo was a smooth thank goodness and not one of the frizzle girls. But then again if she has been over what's to say the frizzle girls havnt popped over before!! Who knows! Going to be even more of a surprise hatch with all this thrown into the mix :ep

day 14, last night. One serama embryo dead, the other not active. probably on its way out as well. all the polish mix are doing fine. I am looking forward to taking my incubator down.

Sorry granny :hugs
God they are a nightmare are they not. I don't think I would have the nerves for them. It must have something to do with the breeding of them because your other eggs are ok in your incubator. So I don't beleive it's an incubation problem.
Are you going to take a break then from hatching for a while then after these?

Day 14 for mine tomorrow so will candle then and see what they are like :fl
The humidity is not shooting up in the incubator anymore so I think they are not losing as much moisture as when I first set them. Just hope the air sacs are ok when I do look cos I turned it down for a couple days.

Have just done my coop cleaning, put lovely clean straw in for them and those pesky younger polish have piled in there and started having a field day!! Straw is now flying out of the pop hole! They just can't seem to stop themselves :he

A break, yes, a nice long one. LOL I dont think i will try anymore seramas. If i get any it will be by the hens not me. tons of people have no problems hatching. I see it all around me. Cracking up laughing at the thought of your chicks having fun in the straw.

Have just been out and thankfully only two are in there now. The two evil chamois I have. They hate me. Always peck and it hurts. Just took this pic then it proceeded to attack my hand!!

the 2 evil ones you have are what i call buff. you have a beautiful flock. their tops are larger them mine and the color stands out much better. Loving the gold frizzle and the white crested . the one picture you show of a white one up close on its head there is a horn? I had one like this and asked around but no one seemed to know what it was. I wont keep birds that bite. if they cant tame down or stay away then they are gone. I know that hurts !!

Thanks granny! It's just hands they go for. Can pick them up and stroke them and they don't bite just if your hands are hanging about they see it as easy pickings!! That horn has developed on the roo since I got him. I think it's part of the crest? I'm not sure what type though? Will have to check that out.
