blood ring or blind

I just did a candle 2 no movement , looks dead and one struggling to make an internal pip. no internal pips on any

I personally would still leave them and give them more time. Especially if one is trying to do an internal pip leaving it be will allow it to get in the right position for hatch.

I so know it's hard but waiting is all that can be done now and let nature take it course.

the 2 that were dead were turned the wrong way and couldnt pip. there was also a bit of "water" ? that came with them. the last one I piped. it too was on its side and having a hard time getting air. Pretty sure i have saved that one but i didnt finish the hatch i just cleared an air hole. they were ready except for a bit of yolk. one was pure white. what will i do with one tiny baby? i havent checked the other eggs but they were not shipped and they still have a week to go. well, one of them the others if they are alive (i havent candled them yet) will be longer. how heart breaking..

So sorry they havnt made it :hugs

It is the down side of shipped eggs having malpositioned chicks develop in them.
Is there any one you know with chicks so the one isn't on its own? Some chicks do ok there own I've read of people adding mirrors or a small cuddly toy for them in the brooder.

Hopefully your unshipped eggs will hatch ok. Wishing you the very best of luck :fl

thank you and thanks for the help. do you have an idea what the clear fluid may have been ? breeder says humidity too high but he lets all his hens do the work. he says 70% will kill seramas. it was about 60-65% but they were definitely on there side with head to little end.

One of my three that died in the shell had quite a bit of fluid. It was the biggest of the eggs, and though the chick was fully formed, and looked normal size, there was extra room in the shell and it had quite a bit of the clear sticky fluid left. Now I had 13 hatchers, 11 that hatched naturally with no probs. One that was malpositioned and one that was shrink wrapped (though I'm wondering if it was more than just being shrink wrapped as it had no feather/down around the vent/butt and has had pasty butt since hatch). And humidity was not a problem, so I wouldn't buy that's what caused the fluid in mine. I did a dry hatch this time and the humidity was great during the actual hatch. I was wondering what the extra fluid could be caused from as well.
