Can the type of egg, egg/shell, size of egg effect that? Like I said, I had 13 hatchers with no "humidity problems" and that one egg, that was bigger than the rest to the extent the chick still had room inside, had a good amount (it wasn't overflowing, or half full, just very noticeable). Could it have been because of the size of the egg and/or thickness of the shell that it didn't release enough moisture when all the others did? One of the other three that died in the shell had internally pipped but was shrinked wrapped and never made it to external pip. Yes it does usually mean too high humidity during incubation. For the air cell to grow the egg needs to lose enough moisture. I find 45% adequate day 1-18 then 65% for lockdown.
