forgot to tell you, the half polish i hatched didnt have fuzz on their tops but feathers are starting to come in there.they will have some type of top knot !

Since my last post another has just zipped and hatchedI in 10 minutes! Plus another pip so 4 out and 5 pipped now. Another blue colour I think Allthough still a bit wet to tell. All the hatched are from girls with the blue splash roo so he must have got them and not the silver lace?

Yes it's a Brinsea octagon 20 advance EX with pump. Had a cheap Chinese incubator when I first started incubating but it was too up hill and down dale. The other half said he would treat me so thought if he's got the wallet out he might as well spend it!! They do an Eco model of the octagon 20 that's cheaper and just as good from what I've read about it. Only difference is dosnt have digital read out and rather than the pump you fill the water channels under the tray.

Maybe they have the feathers but not the usual vaulted skull of the polish. A friend once gave me a hen that was some kind of silkie cross from a mix bag of eggs she incubated it didn't have the vaulted skull of a silkie but once grown it had Pom pom/crest on its head.
You will have to post some pics of the feathers that are growing.

I just dont know what to do with this chick. 23rd day been half hatched for 2 days. just its bottom and yolk sac was there this am. 12 hrs. ago.its stilll just on its side not doing anything

Just like me trying to hatch cream legbars. 0% time after time....... Bad news on my home front...... I probably will not get to take my chickens with me....... 4 years of breeding Araucanas down the tubes........ Rats!

ohh, so sorry to hear that.

hope you get them a great home if you cant. I am taking my bator back to the store for credit. I know thats the problem. probably why i lost all the seramas . temps spiking when i was not looking. so all i will have now is my old LG . not much of anything. really. maybe thats a good thing. I dont even have a broody.
