I hear ya, if it ain't food, it's medicine, shavings, scratch, crushed oyster shells etc. etc.. Never any extra funds around here.

Just looked on my local Craigslist last night and came across a year old Brinsea incubating cabinet with humidity pump for a $1000.00. The door is all glass... If only...I know a person can dream lol

I'm not sure if they have them yet over in US but Brinsea have brought out a new cabinet incubator Have been eyeing them up in my poultry magazine. They are just a little smaller that the other cabinets so would be more suitable for on the work surface. I don't think my other half would buy the idea though says we have enough with the smaller incubator. Although I would love a cabinet it's just not worth it. My incubating addiction would be seriously out of control with a cabinet

Sitting here watching my grandson with the polish baby they are both spoiled rotten. the chick thinks GS is its mama and GS thinks i am his. It crawls up his sleeve to sleep and gets wet food . It crys for him. I have no idea what will happen when he goes home. trying to talk DD into letting him take it but he has small brothers

Sounds like they are getting on very well It could become a house a chicken!! Is he round yours a lot with him thinking your his mama? Glad to hear the chick is doing well and has got a friend in your GS. How's the rest of flock? Have you got better weather yet? Weather here was rubbish this morning 2 celsius, rain and sleet and now it's blowing a gale!! Can't seem to make its mind up what it wants to do.
Went riding on the horse on Tuesday was lovely when we set off sun was shining just like spring and half way round the heavens opened with rain and hail stones!! Was soaked by the time we got back, jumped off and the sun then came out again. Absolutely typical for me

oh wow, sorry about your ride. sounds like absolute fun. GS is on spring break from school. he goes back Monday. he has been here since saturday. Tons of help to me. It was around 70 degrees here yesterday. windy but a beautiful day. last night we got a hail storm. lol kept me up most the night.
