blood ring or blind

my daughter was after a girl but 6 boys later i think she has gave up on the idea. hahaa I would of tossed the towel in long before that ! I had one girl, then 14 yrs. later a boy. I call him my little oops. I just made dr. appointments for my son and myself. I am taking him to my bone dr. He swears he has arthritis.

I would have too thrown the towel in!! I'm convinced myself I have arthritis my knees are bad have always had trouble with them. But docs said when I was a kid it was just growing pains and I'm sure now I have grown out of growing pains. Have had acupuncture pysio too nothing works. I have psoriasis the skin condition too which can become psoriatic arthritis been for blood tests and what not and I have a funny count where my body is constantly trying to repair itself. Right now it's not too bad and I've not had a bad break out for a while. Don't want another like last time, I had tonsillitis and that set it off, strep infections can do that. My whole skin was just falling off. My hands were worst constantly shedding and keeping them clean was a nightmare :barnie
I'm surprised I didn't have an infection in them. Oh heck here I am again waffling on! Hope all goes well for you both at the docs :fl

my boy and myself did that. skin pealed off in big sheets from strep. they claim it is the fever. you should take vitamin D every day and get out in the sun as much as you can. I promise this will help you. In the winter too . you can still get the benefits of the sun. there is a special light bulb for this as well but it is fairly expensive. some swear by coal tar shampoo too. me , not so much. after you shower leave your skin a bit damp and put some good lotion on. it will seal in the water on your skin helping a little. dont use too hot of water when you shower and make extra sure all the soap is rinsed off. All of these things are good for your skin. the Dr. can give you a steroid cream too. before bed, put it on your hands and wear rubber gloves to bed. My sister had to wrap her whole arms in cellophane. what a site ! but it helped.

Still up granny? Ah yes they say to it runs in families my Dad gets it too. The doc was going to send me for that light treatment if it didn't settle down, thankfully it did though. I have three lots of steroid creams depending how bad it is and yes sun really does help its not half bad in summer than winter. But then again when your skin is shedding you don't really feel like getting your skin out in public. I hate it, it's a horrible thing to have and can really knock you when it's bad. Like it takes over your life and everything you do revolves around its a right pain in the butt. Stress and worry brings it on too. I try not to worry about things now I've come to the the thinking what will be will be. But then it's a vicious circle worry about your skin, your skin gets worse, worry more oh god it just goes round and round.
Any how my day is just starting here, chickens are up and out I'm sure someone just laid so off for a check, do some business paper work do the horse and I will be back later. Thanks for listening to me waffle on, see you later :hugs

I dont think i told you but the tiny polish mix that hatched by itself died a couple days ago. she never grew any. my GS was heart broken. the same day one hatched out of a broody hen. I dont know what it is but seems healthy. I do believe its an ee cross with cream legbar. My GS is coming to feed for me today so he will have a nice surprise waiting on him.

I bet he was too he had a lovely bond with it didn't he. Congrats on the broody chick I bet that's so cute seeing it with Mum I'm hoping to have a broody this year but they are not any signs of it yet. Will be lovely for your GS when he arrives and sees the chick. To be quite honest I was thinking this little runty one I have was not going to make it. Still going ok for now but just is not growing so small looking compared to the others. They are all nearly three weeks now so might set some more eggs at the weekend as by the time hatch date would come round these lot should be out if the shed.

Will you be setting any more granny or are you having a bit of time off for now?

I dont think i will be hatching any time soon. I have 2 seramas sitting now as well. my GS was tickled to death but not because of the black chick. I told him about the other 2 eggs she was sitting and he asked if he could go look. I said yes but dont touch. well, he come flying in the house with 2 new chicks and one being almost dead. froze. she had rejected it i guess. he kept saying , I am sorry i disobeyed you. LOL I held it under the heat lamp until my hand was burning and i felt it warming up. then it kicked me. It went from barely breathing to running around in about an hr. so he is very pleased for saving its life and i am very pleased he "disobeyed " me. they are the prettyist little chicks i have ever seen and i think they are egyption fayomes I sold my pair so i am pleased .

I bet he is pleased that he saved them. I'm hoping for a broody this year but non are showing any signs of it at all. Then again polish are not known for being broody and there is no chance of Ginny going broody all she thinks about is food!!
Is she a first time mother your broody? Why do you think she rejected them? I bet too you are so pleased you sent your GS out to see them too. Amazing isn't it how the cold can so affect chicks. Super pleased for you they are ok now :yesss:
