I think posting eggs from the UK all the way to USA might be a bit too far. I'm not sure what the rules are either on quarantine for eggs entering your country.
If you want to sell eggs in the USA do you have to be nippa certified? Is it some kind of health check on your flock? We don't have any rules that we have to be certified over here. Although I think there is some kind of certificate from the department of agriculture you can apply for but not compulsory.

I am not sure about any of that NIPPA breeders have their flock tested for newcastles? i think. as far as law, if it is , there is no way to enforce it that i am aware of. People mail eggs all the time. some illness can be passed from the eggs to the chick. or i should say from mama to egg

LL flocks that produce eggs or chicks that cross state lines through the mail are required to be NIPA certified. There is paperwork that is supposed to be with the eggs or chicks.

However, the PO must not know about this. There are laws that are enforced if shippers are caught mailing buyers.

But, I suspect that if the avian flu continues to appear in backyard flocks, the USDA will change the law to force shipping companies to require health certifications to force compliance.

Yea, chicken health certificates and dog wardens work the same way........ Lots of laws but not enforced until some one blabs their mouth about it.

My neighbors dogs run all over the place and animal control knows it. They can only pick up dogs that are/or have been PHYSICALLY on my property. They cannot pick them up for running all over the rest of the neighborhood UNLESS the other neighbors complain.

Talk about stupid laws!!!!!!

It is pouring rain again!!!!! It has rained so much that I was afraid to park my car in my side lot. I parked in my neighbor's trucking lot to keep my car from sinking up to the axels in the mud.

Oh don't get me started on the rain!! Chucked it down yesterday everything sopping wet including my birds even though they have a big brolly and coop to go in I might add, still stood out in all looked like drowned rats!! Then to top if off the skies cleared and we had -7 Celsius last night so ice this morning was like a skating rink

I got 2 polish eggs today and i only have one gold so one of them is bound to be a candy corn !! It is a day late but i put them in the incubator with the others.How old are your polish when they start laying ? I know mine has to be a yr. any way. the candy corn, not the gold. me thinks there is an egg eater tucked in there somewhere.
