What Day are you on?

They are on day 18. Lockdown is in 4 hours I've already turned the turner off. Just need to candle and put in cartons and remove the dividers from the incubator. When it gets dark. All the polish I have hatched before have started hatching on day 20 so this is nothing new. Just so excited as these are my own eggs and a test batch :cd

morning, daughter said she heard chirping in an egg at 5 am . I got up at 7 and the temp was 105. day 20 . I havent heard anything

Well Good Luck on your hatch----the start of lock down does not have to be exact----the last batch I took out the hatcher 3 days ago were put into lock-down a day earlier because of having to go out of town on day 18. 121 out of 122 hatched----must not have hurt to bad!!

I hope they are ok granny Maybe they were just resting when you had a listen. The 105 could be them now producing their own heat.

thanks, I think i did it by simply scooting the bator back on the counter last night. temp is good now but i didnt hear anything

Lockdown update!! Have some questionable eggs, some look like air sacs too big one looks like airsac too small some look full off chick and others don't look full enough, some have movement and some none at all. All in all a mixed bag. Not getting my hopes up after seeing what I've just seen. Never the less all have gone into lockdown. What will be will be I guess.

And did have a white crested cockerel form some I incubated last year managed to rehome him. This is my other half trying to hold him for his photo shoot

Thank you! I saw a picture of them, and just had to have them. I have never seen any local. They were hatchery chicks, and they had too much black in their headfeathers, but the second generation is breeding good. I just wish they laid more. Hopefully when the days get longer they will. I'm lucky to get 5-6 eggs/week out of 6 hens right now. Here is my queen and one of her babies hanging with a Maran
