maybe ? I just have the swedish flower rooster now. he is still shedding his toes from frost so i will have to check some eggs but anything he mates with should be pretty ! he is doing his part ! lol

Ooh yeah!! I bet they would be pretty too. I like mixed breed chickens like the unknown with them and they are something a bit different to look at. Meant to tell you those 2 Ginny chicks are getting weird little crest feathers think they are going to be Mohican. The lighter coloured frizzle one is super friendly other dark brown colour not so friendly more stand offish. Don't know why same parents raised the same but so different.

I bet your Swedish is enjoying himself!! Will be top roo now

poor guy ! all them hens are coming to him and squatting and he has an ol sore toe. hahaaa He is mostly like my ol man, just laying around wishing

You make me laugh you do granny Here's hoping his toe gets better soon so he can make the hens happy ladies. Nearly 10 pm here so way past my bedtime!! The longer days are really keeping the chickens up later now. They don't go to bed untill about 8.45 pm and I let them out first light 5.30 am.

Hi granny!! Nearly 3 days since we last spoke, think I'm having withdrawal symptoms. How you feeling? Not too bad I hope? I'm still resisting the lure of the incubator and behaving myself. Still got the 7 left to sell and I need to keep the 3 for my Mum. The light one of the Ginny chicks is starting to get a comb I'm hoping this does not mean roo as its legs are getting bigger too!! Will have to get some updated pics for you to check out. Lovely weather here right now so getting lots done outdoors. Had some decking done where the chickens used to be looks a lot more tidy and the chickens won't be slopping around in the mud this next winter. They are all on concrete now so easy clean just have to get the hose out.

Hope all your birds are ok? How's the Swedish flower roo doing ant better with his toe?

yorkshire tea ? I love tea. mmm... I am doing ok. the rooster is working at losing the toes but it sure is a slow go. poor thing. he still has pain. I would LOVE to have sloped concrete flooring. imagine how easy it would wash. I do like playing in the water. I still take walks in the rain. my mom used to say, look at Mary, (my grandma) she was half duck and you are just like her. Can your mom not take a rooster ? I hope not. wonder if the chickens had estrogen while laying if more girls would come ? wonder if chickens that drink vinegar have more ? My mom swore by it. LOL 6 girls later. of course , she didnt drink it.

Ooh yes I love tea too!! Just had a lovely cup of nice, strong and sweet T with my ham salad. Can't beat a T with a salad. I like coffee too a bit too much though.
No she is adamant she does not want a roo so my fingers are crossed. Not heard of the vinegar thing before you never know though do you. My Mum is the eldest of 5 children. 4 girls and one boy. My grandad wanted a son so they had kids untill he got one.
I don't mind the rain doing horses and chickens you don't have a lot choice really. As the saying goes there is not bad weather just unsuitable clothing.
