Cetawin, the internal laying started with shell-less eggs, soft shelled eggs, etc. Then eventually, they stop laying entirely and begin to lose weight rapidly. I cant feel anything odd in the abdomen, it's not bloated or anything. Eventually, though they keep eating, they get bone thin and weak. We do the necropsy and find the same thing every time, egg material congealed in the oviduct, like sausages in a casing. There is no cure except maybe hysterectomy, and no prevention that I know of. Dr. Brown says it's a hormonal imbalance and maybe I shouldn't get anymore birds from the same source. Now five of them have had it, only two are still alive.
