(Quick background) I've have chickens for nearly 2 years now and have had several successful hatches from my current stock and some purchased on ebay. They are all beautiful chickens and I've done considerable amounts of research on how they should look and so forth, so they all are pure (as far I can tell). Anyway, I recently parted with some of my older hens and have room for more. My son is interested in breeding standard blue/black/splash Cochins but doesn't want to end up with some mixed birds we might get at a local sell. I am familiar with Greenfire line and jc hink...etc but is there a particular line in the USA that is a top notch name when it comes to Standard Cochins??
