For anyone who has a heafty chicken who sometimes wiggles when picked up, be cautious about dropping them!! My Ashley wiggled out of my hands when I was trying to get a picture and landed on cement steps. Immediately she started bleeding from under the tip of her beak. The blood flow lasted for about 2 hours until she sat down and stopped moving but her chest was covered in blood. I gave her front a rinse in the bath and she fine now but I was so worried I broke her beak!! Anyone think I can clean it without causing more damage? What would I use? Will the blood she and my other two ingested cause different fecal color?

and Welcome To BYC! Hope your girl is OK, if you can post pictures of her beak injury in the Emergencies forum that may help people figure out what you are dealing with.
