Where are you located in the world (state/country)?
Have you found maggots as you are cleaning her up?

Has this hen been laying eggs or have you found any "odd" looking eggs, possibly Lash Eggs?

We are outside Buffalo, NY in the middle of winter. No maggots. As far as I know she has been laying. Eggs have all been normal and no Lash Eggs

You did a excellent job getting her cleaned up :highfive:
Time will tell as she heals. The Blue Kote is a good idea IMHO after the tissue has healed some And before you introduce her back to the flock. The color of Blue Kote will make it less appealing for pecking.
In the meantime if we could get the inflammation down, let the tissue heal.
Is she eating? What happens when she poops?

O.K.
That swollen abdomen is very concerning to me. Is it hard or does it feel fluid filled?
I understand, this could be an injury, but I feel like there is more going on with her.
Were the other chickens picking at her?

Could be wrong, I have been before:D But I think she has a reproductive problem that has cause swelling in the abdomen that has caused it to push through and made the skin split.

Is she pooping?
