Bloody cornea/eye

Can someone help me confirm if this looks like an injury or something else. I noticed this little baby squinting one eye and when I picked her up to examine, it looks like there's blood in her cornea. No blood around the eye or leaking from the eye.

Its really hard to get a good picture of it, but the eye is cloudy with blood. She still seems to be eating and drinking, but looks uncomfortable.

If its an injury, is there anything I can do for her?

Oh no, poor thing! Does it seem like she can see out of that eye? I'm not sure what to do for her, but I'll tag some experts who can help you.

What happened? I've heard many stories of people's chickens living a full life with one eye.

What happened? I've heard many stories of people's chickens living a full life with one eye.

She ended up being ok. I'm not sure if there was lasting damage, but the eye itself eventually cleared up and isn't filled with blood anymore. The hen is still alive and doing just fine as of me typing this!
