bloody poop

Well, had it not worked, I would have moved to something else, quickly. The medicated starter also kept any additional chicks from contracting the disease, or worsening to the point of bloody feces. They were definitely exposed.

It's a good idea to kept medications on hand. I have a cabinet full of just about anything I could need. Nothing will substitute, however, for good husbandry and biosecurity. Also, no matter how much you might love a bird, it's not worth putting your flock at risk if one develops something serious.

Ok soooo update .. Checked with our local feed store and they did not carry CorridI was going to buy it anyways and just treat them I figured it wouldn't hurt only because I've never had this happen before and I am very new to raising chickens so I didn't want to risk anything so we left with no medication... . haven't use the meds yet but I have been giving them the water with probiotic and still feeding them medicated feed and also gave them some yogurt today that I read online helps with the digestive system ..and it seems that their poop has changed throughout the day I haven't noticed any blood in their stool at all into the afternoon today and evening and it seems that their poop has changed throughout the day.droppings have been a little bit runny but I have also noticed that they have been hard as well but I definitely have definitely noticed a change ...now here's the thing I called the breeder and told them there was blood in the stool and they said that it wasn't blood " it for sure was blood"that it was what they feed their chickens that it's 100% grain feed which I completely did not understand what he was meaning by that but he did say that he did not give any kind of medicated food to his chickens whatsoever so is it possible that these droppings were just what the chickens more being fed… What would be the best way to determine this I'm just trying to figure out how long I should quarantine them more being fed… What would be the best way to determine this I'm just trying to figure out how long I should quarantine them before I even think about introducing them to my other flock
