    First time hatching.. What does it mean that one of the eggs pipped? Is that when the break into the air cell or when they make a tiny crack in the shell? Or ___?

    An internal pip is when they break into the air cell. An external pip is when they break through the shell. So if someone says their egg has pipped they've found a bump/crack/hole in the shell.

    Aww, don't feel left out! Here's a box of crayons for you. We also have markers - the kind that stain - for our more adventurous friends... You can choose whatever you want to color on, but please, be sure that whatever you decide to put your artwork on isn't moving.

    (Actually the first post on the first page sorta explains where the blankie fort and crayons came from.)
