Blooie's Blankie Fort

Nope, we just lift the fort flap and invite folks in.  Rules are :  Bring treats to share.  No smoking.  AND NO LEGOS!!!!

Well, the six eggs I won in BYC'S caption contest arrived today - all 11 of them! <Gulp!>  Shipped from Colorado on Tuesday so it was pretty much a straight shot for them - not much handling involved, weather has been super nice, and no drastic altitude changes.  Too light to candle yet, but I did take a quick peek and I didn't see any obviously horrible air cells!  The other incubator is fired up, humidity looks good and it's holding temps pretty well, so I'm hoping for a good outcome!  I got them from @nate1the1great1
, and what a bang-up good job of packing.  Our postmistress got such a big kick out of the box they were sent in that she took photos of it.  I'll take some pics in a bit and get them up.

In the box were eggs that, if they hatch, will be such a treat for Katie and Kendra!  If you don't know who my granddaughters are, here's their story.  They are amazing and they hold my heart in their little hands, I'll tell ya....

I received:

3 Black Australorps  (and if I spelled that wrong don't tell me!)
1 Easter Egger
1 Nankin
1 Silkie (Kendra's!)
1 Cochin
2 Bantams (but I don't know if they are Bantams of a particular breed or what.  Those will be Katie's)
1 Leghorn
1 Naked Neck (not sure what i'm going to think of that one.  :D )

I'm on Day 16 with the others.  Still 8 viable so hope springs eternal.

Awesome! :clap
(You did spell Australorp right!) :thumbsup

I am not a fan! I just got a message that an auction I was outbid on, would be willing to send me a dozen at the price I bid at. She didn't have the full dozen today and asked if I wanted turken eggs to fill the last 3 spots. Yeah....not a fan. So, eggs will ship on Monday (no turken)! First photo appears to be a turken, second a naked neck something. AmyLynn, can you attach a photo of your NNs?

Sure I can. Turkens and necked necks are the same thing. The difference with the two pics is the first one has a clean neck, no bow tie and the second has the big bow tie. Mine all have the bow ties. I really want a clean neck to start my show girls with.
The new eggs and the box they came in.

Nice...lol

This is my nnxsilkie which would technically be a gen 1 SG

The rest are nn/ee/mixes

This white one is the daughter of the brown in the next pic

This is the momma

Not a good pic, but she looks just like her momma. Both of my brown nns lay a huge green egg because the momma is a nnxAraucana

This was my roo when he was younger, but he bye bye after becoming people aggressive

And here's a couple bb pics of them:

Sorry for filling up your thread Blooie....

You are turning into a hatching addict, a better habit than that other one, I think, I'm still waiting for my eggs, still can't get my incubator where I want it, eventually I'll just go with what I got and hope eggs in it will stabilize things. You're going to have to build another coop soon.
