Trying, Scott....trying!!Are you saying to just be responsible and reasonable at the same time?
I have 11 eggs under a broody, I don't think I can pull that off.
Scott

So Ken went to Cody yesterday and stopped in at the feed store to "look." Yep, he came home with 3 more Silkies and 3 other teeny little bantams that I've given up trying to identify and will most likely class as "mixed." He thought he'd just replace some of the Silkies but they only had 3 in the bin and he had to buy 6. Cute little stinkers, and doing great with the older Silkies under MHP. I think the new Silkies will be white like the ones I have left from this last shipment. All of the tiniest ones - Buffs and one of the Blues - died during those rough first few days so it's going to look like popcorn exploded in the yard when they all start running around. 4 of the Blues survived as well. So that's 6 whites, Smudge (one of last year's hatch who is Paint) and King Tut, also from last year, who is black, and the 4 new Blues. Here are the mystery chicks.
CHICK #1 - Light reddish color, buff tummy, long, feathered legs.....
Chick #2.....black, white, and gray....fuzzy face, legs look a little greenish to me - Bantam Easter Egger maybe?
Chick #3......silvery white and buttery yellow...legs look greenish in the photo but aren't really. Blinks when getting photos taken.
