There's no way I would consider a Hatchery a Major Breeder, I agree with Katy hatchery's are a production factory and you may or may not get true bred birds (that have not been crossed) I would go with a known Independent Breeder someone that has pictures of there birds and not someone elses, it always helps to see the breeder birds before you buy the off spring, some may just think they have great looking birds. I know that sounds MEAN but you know it's true.

If I was going to breed BLRW I wouldn't use stock from a hatchery. But I am not a breeder. I do appreciate the links to quality birds.
All I wanted was a few colorful hens to add to my flock of layers.

I was just wondering if anybody knew what colors they might grow into. If they are a mish mash of crossed birds then I guess only time will tell what they turn into. If nothing, it should be interesting.

I agrre, what I actually was speaking of was the FACTORIES. lol there are tons of dangers in thier stock, mis-breeding, etc. Sorry for the mis-communications. lol Thanks for the correction!
